Peanut Butter for the Hungry (PB4H) is proud to announce the launch of our new Peanut Butter Drive Success Kit.  Everything needed to conduct a successful, community based peanut butter collection drive is included, from talking points to donation information posters to children’s activities, and more. We have created and compiled all the tools needed to put together and implement a successful peanut butter drive and made them available to download for free. These elements can provide small service-oriented community groups such as scout troops, church groups, or other civic minded organizations a step-by-step guide to conduct a peanut butter drive easily in their local area.

The vision for the American Peanut Council’s Peanut Butter for the Hungry project is to use the power of peanut butter to help save lives domestically and across the globe.  Food banks identify peanut butter as one of their most popular items due to its nutritious, inexpensive, and shelf-stable nature. We welcome you to share the link to our free kit within your community and to post it on your website.  Together we can ‘spread’ the word and equip those who help others.  For more information, please visit

Below, you can see how Laurel Hill SACC used tools from Peanut Butter for the Hungry’s new Peanut Butter Drive Success Kit to hold one of their most successful community outreach efforts ever!

Peanut Butter for the Hungry is an initiative of the peanut industry in the United States (including growers, shellers, manufacturers and allied industry members) to help malnourished children in places where resources are limited. This includes encouraging the donation of shelf stable, protein rich peanut butter to food banks throughout the U.S., as well as supporting the production and delivery of ready-to-use therapeutic food (or RUTF) to food insecure countries in the developing world. In addition, the industry aims to educate consumers on the effectiveness of peanut butter and RUTF products in reducing hunger and malnutrition worldwide, and strives to be a resource for those who want to be active in their community to increase awareness of hunger and mitigate its effects.

Peanut Butter for the Hungry is a program managed by the American Peanut Council; staff donates their time at no cost. Industry professionals with various expertise also donate significant amounts of time for programs.
