“Community Recommendation to End Hunger” is a five-year action plan to eradicate hunger in the Twin Cities area. The plan outlines three shared goals of the community: (1) to increase the amount of healthy food available for distribution in the system, (2) to enhance the customer service capabilities of emergency food programs and (3) to increase utilization of government programs. Each of these goals is broken down into objectives and action steps. The outlined goals are followed by a section on gauging progress toward ending hunger.
This is a comprehensive model for a community level, system-wide response to hunger.
