Childhood obesity is the result of complex, multifaceted factors, and its prevention requires a comprehensive approach across home, school, and community environments. Child care settings, including preschools, provide an important opportunity for prevention efforts.

The purpose of this article is to describe an innovative Farm to Preschool model called Farm to Family (F2F), program that facilitates access to affordable produce among low-income families with preschool children. The program evaluation was designed to understand the strengths and challenges of the F2F model from the perspectives of farm and Head Start staff, assess participation rates, examine families’ perceptions of the program, and explore short-term changes in children’s health behaviors.
