“Urban Grower’s Manual” is a guide to urban agriculture. It depicts how to work with and inspire diverse groups of people who contribute their time and effort to urban lots. It also explains how to plan for, plant, harvest and distribute produce from a city-size farm. The manual is divided into five sections, which break down how to run and manage an urban lot. Topics addressed include principles to make farming practices more sustainable, systems to integrate a diverse labor force into a productive agricultural operation, farm planning and agricultural systems related to the urban lots, and evaluation. A list of attachments follows the guide. This includes diverse group of helpful information such as an attachment on soil testing and a sample yearly maintenance schedule.
