The IHRTF envisions that in a state as abundant as Idaho, hunger will not exist. We work to put public and private resources into action statewide to end hunger and provide food security for all Idahoans. Our IHRTF embraces a ‘food system framework’ and works to create pathways into the mainstream, healthy food system for all Idahoans regardless of income. Avenues for such include our Cultivate Idaho community assessment process, Farm to School, EBT at farmers markets, double up food bucks, etc. We believe that rural communities understand their food system and food security needs best and that with a solid process in place for making decisions, they will make the best decisions for their community. Toward this end, our IHRTF is comprised of 20 organizations with the mandate, passion, mission to address food security.
