The Food Security Coalition of Mid Coast Maine provides support and networking for food pantries in the Mid Coast area. Monthly food pantry meetings, technical assistance and training and a clearinghouse for resources assist the 21 local food pantries and soup kitchens to increase their capacity to serve families in need. The Coalition was established by the United Way of Midcoast Maine, and is housed and staffed at Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program.
