The mission of the Interreligious Food Consortium is to support those who are in need of emergency assistance through a network of 70 food pantries in Onondaga County. Currently seventy food pantries and meal programs are part of a network that serves more than 200,000 meals per month.
Our agency can;
Connect those who are in need of food assistance with the appropriate food program
Solicit, collect and distribute donated food at no cost
Act as an advocate for the food pantries and the 750 volunteers
Raise awareness of hunger issues in the community through food drives,participating in media and local events
Provide financial and informational support to emergency food pantries and meal sites.
