Established in 2017, the Medical Health Advisory Coalition (MHAC) strives to influence and contribute to solutions for the issues our community faces in the area of diabetes, health, and management. MHAC programs: community garden, gardening classes and resources, access to medical care through the specialized clinic and MedShare, food pantry serves 20 families right now and they are given fresh produce, canned goods, frozen meat, shelf-stable grains/legumes and runs summer meal sites across Hidalgo County.
