The Tennessee Justice Center is focused on protecting access to healthcare and ending hunger by strengthening the safety net programs for all Tennesseans. The TJC anti-hunger team which is focused on protecting and strengthening the federal nutrition safety net, runs numerous monthly partner working groups- WIC Champions, SNAP Access, Summer EBT Partners, Healthy Meals Healthy Kids TN, TANF Stakeholders, and Quarterly College Hunger Call. The anti-hunger team’s current work includes Summer EBT advocacy, SNAP and WIC language access advocacy, TN state legislative advocacy to adopt free school meals for all, administrative advocacy to break down silos between state agencies and cross-promote nutrition programs, outreach to increase TN WIC participation, and more!
