The County’s Food Security Plan, launched in April 2017, and co-created by the Montgomery County Food Council, aims to bring together all of the key community partners in Montgomery County – from small food pantries and non-profits to business leaders, farmers, food retailers, education systems and large scale emergency food assistance providers – to work together to reduce food insecurity. The shared vision of the Plan is as follows: “Our community is a place where all people at all times have access to safe, sufficient, nutritious food in order to lead fulfilling lives and contribute to making Montgomery County, MD a place where all live in dignity.”
