There is a citywide awareness and cooperative effort to feed children. ACFS currently feeds approximately 200 school children, and is working to expand. ACFS currently works out of the Sylacauga Alliance for Family Enhancement, and operates in two counties: Talladega and Coosa.

The Kalamazoo County Hunger-Free Community Coalition was initiated in 2014 by a core group of community advocates representing business, non-profit, government, education and healthcare organizations. The coalition is developing indicators of success while working collectively on identified projects to end local hunger.
